Expert Witness

One of the most interesting experiences that I have had was that of being an expert witness. I was interviewed for this role by a law firm defending a client in a patent infringement case. My diverse pharmaceutical background (operations, engineering, compliance, and process design with over 50 clients), along with my track record of success, qualified me to support this case. I was selected from the various candidates interviewed because I possessed the requisite knowledge and expertise to be a witness, while having the ability to communicate and articulate the science and technical aspects of the process in easy to understand terms (without sounding condescending). I was also told that the fact that I was not a typical “hired gun” also made me very attractive for this case.

The final result was that after the oppositions written depositions were received, reviewed, and rebutted; and my written deposition was submitted, the case was ultimately settled in my client’s favour.
